Well, well, well...it's been a while. Almost one year and five months, to be exact. My sudden disappearance was facilitated by a number of things: schoolwork, personal problems, as well as a fall into a misanthropic muse. But all that is over with, and a new chapter begins.

I have to give credit to where it's due - many thanks to Steven Spielberg and George Lucas for re-inspiring me to return to the creative scene. Hearing that they were finally going to make another Indiana Jones was too good to be true. I literally grew up with the rogue archaeologist, so it was like a dream come true. But that's not the only thing we're looking forward to this summer.

2008 seems to be a very promising year for the box office. We've got a lot of dynamite movies coming out: Batman: The Dark Knight, Iron Man, and, of course, Indiana Jones: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. And the interesting thing is that 2007 & 2008 saw the return of many old-school heroes to the silver screen, even if they may be from a different time: unlucky detective John McClane, the classic Iron Man, ex-Green Beret John Rambo, the fearsome Batman, and intrepid adventurer Indiana Jones. While some may say that they're too old or out of style, the truth is: "it's not the years, sweetheart, it's the mileage."

So in salute to the return of these cinema favorites, I've got a great 2008-2009 line-up planned for all of you guys. And no joke, I've brought my old sketches and notes out of the closet, dusted them off, and brought them to the drawing table.
